Deep red, high depth
About 341
341 (US 341, a Nunhems hybrid) is a high-yielding chilli grown alongside Teja and Sannam in the Guntur, Warangal and Khammam belt, and one of the varieties the Guntur trade lists as export-preferred. Its pods are long, thick-fleshed and dry to a deep, glossy red, giving a powder with colour up to 120 ASTA at a medium, semi-hot pungency. It is the variety most Indian masala and chilli-powder brands build on, and blends well with Teja to hit a target heat while lifting colour.
