About Turmeric powder
Our turmeric comes from the Godavari districts of Andhra Pradesh and the Nizamabad belt of Telangana, the largest turmeric-growing region in India. Fingers are cured, sun-dried and polished, then milled to 60 or 80 mesh. Standard grades carry 2 to 3 percent curcumin; selected high-curcumin lots reach 4 to 5 percent for nutraceutical buyers. Each lot is tested for lead chromate, Sudan dyes, moisture and microbiology, and steam-sterilised for the EU on request.
